Acclaimed from Canada to the United Kingdom, the Montreal band Pottery is comprised of composers Austin Boylan and Jacob Shepansky, as well as Peter Baylis, Paul Jacobs and Tom Gould. They originally came together through a shared interest in artists like Orange Juice, Josef K and Devo. The band then formed to create their own unique sound, combining eclectic traces of post-punk, pop and dance music, creating an unusual atmosphere that envelops the audience. No. 1 is the band's first EP. Pottery's songs are often incisive and explosive, drawing the listener into a hypnotic state. It is this dualism that unites them, revealing harmony in discord.
