Description

At the age of 18, the North Carolina-based producer and songwriter burst onto the scene with a complex and grandiloquent electro-house brand. After the major success of his debut album Worlds in 2014, Porter released the RIAA gold single "Shelter" with Madeon in 2016, followed by the Shelter Live Tour covering 43 dates across four continents. The following year, Porter began releasing music under a new pseudonym, Virtual Self, which earned him his first Grammy nomination for the hit single "Ghost Voices" on BBC Radio 1. In 2019, Porter hosted the first Second Sky Festival, which sold out all 30,000 tickets for the two-day festival in just one day. In 2020 and 2021, Porter Robinson held editions of his virtual festival Secret Sky, gathering over 6 million combined viewers, and it came to be regarded as the most sophisticated virtual festivals of its time. Later in 2021, after the release of his second album Nurture, the Second Sky Festival returned to the San Francisco Bay Area, selling 40,000 tickets in a single day. Immediately after, the North American Nurture Live tour sold over 150,000 concert tickets and became the highest-grossing electronic tour of 2021. In 2022, in partnership with Riot Games, Robinson released "Everything Goes On," surpassing 100 million global streams. Later that year, he made his debut in one of two exclusive live group performances, first at Second Sky 2022 and again in 2023 on the main stage at Coachella.
