Initially released digitally as two separate volumes in 2022, Wonderwheel is pleased to present a vinyl version of Moonbatons by Populous – a collection of dark dance tracks in reggaeton and moombahton style influenced by the magic and mysteries of the zodiac. Things kick off with "Flauta Magica," centered around the clave, a dark synth line, and a dembow-style beat that intertwines with the flute and a bit of acid vibes for good measure, while "Sapo" is a distant and unsettling track with an impressive bass and percussion combo that complements a childlike fairy tale melody. On the B side, "Glass Dubplate" is a percussive track with emotional pads and synth bleeps, while "Berlinese Dubplate" delves into harder territory, late at night, with deep bass, rumbling percussion, and dubby electro.
