New vinyl edition of "Einsjäger Und Siebenjäger," the cult album from 1974 by the band Popol Vuh. Pressing made at AIR Studios in London. Considered one of the most beautiful works of the German collective led by musical visionary Florian Fricke, "Einsjäger Und Siebenjäger" takes its title from mythological characters found in Mayan manuscripts that also inspired the name of the group. Recorded in Munich, the album features Florian Fricke (piano), Daniel Fichelscher (guitars, percussion), Djong Yun (vocals), and guest flutist Olaf Kubler (from the band Amon Düül II). Composed of five shorter tracks on the first side and an impressive and evocative title track occupying the entire second side, this album is among the finest achievements of Popol Vuh and perfectly illustrates the group's fluid compositional genius.
