The Floridians from Tallahassee, Pool Kids, are back in force with Easier Said Than Done, their third album expected on September 26 via Epitaph Records. The album opens with the striking and catchy eponymous single, which marks a rise in intensity in their masterful blend of technical math-rock and catchy indie-pop. Formed in 2017 around singer and multi-instrumentalist Christine Goodwyne and drummer Caden Clinton, Pool Kids quickly became a quartet acclaimed for its emotionality and sharp playing. After a notable debut album in 2018 and a critically acclaimed second album in 2022, the band has toured alongside Soccer Mommy, PUP, Joyce Manor, and Beach Bunny. Produced in Seattle by Mike Vernon Davis, this new opus explores new sounds, blending explosive energy, emotional depth, and irresistible choruses.
