Certain musicians seem born to embody the spirit and body of a people. Sometimes, they die too soon. Their songs cradle the survivors in an inconsolable pleasure. Fernando Borrego Linares, known as Polo Montañez (Polo of the Mountains), died following a car accident in November 2002. His first record "Guajiro Natural" ("Natural Peasant") was released in 2000 and his second album "Guitarra Mia" ("You My Guitar") in 2002.
