SUS au vieux poil, the new album from the big beat surf ultra speed and funny superhero trio, exudes a sense of premature creativity. Two epic tracks of 20 minutes each make up this album where humor gives way to lyricism and Occitan poetry. A love serenade, a coitus of sky and sea, bald fish lollipops, crazy dogs, the world's tremors at the bottom of a well... PoiL has traded its red bodysuit for a troubadour polyphonist cap, appearing more composed but still closer to madness. Having been gently rocked from afar by the sweet dialects of the Occitan regions, the poilus seize upon the Occitan - Provençal and Béarnais - poetry of Max Rouquette and Théodore Aubanel in SUS, dressing it in the sound of PoiL.
