Beginning in 2011, while visiting the Ninja Tune HQ to offer cushions shaped like 808 drum machines, LUKE VIBERT announced that he had just found some long-lost DATs, never before listened to, dating from "1995-1998" and titled "PLUG". The ten tracks of the album include, among others, the proto-garage vocal style of Feeling So Special, the crazy fairground organs of No Reality, the hilariously titled Come On My Skeleton, the old-school mix of Mind Bending, the twisted Bollywoodisms of A Quick Plug for a New Shot, all impeccably served on a bed of certified Jungle. Because it sounds like a modern production while being a classic from an icon of electronic music, "Back On Time" is an album that should please and pique the curiosity of anyone interested in the evolution of Dance music.
