Pioneers of the electronic reinvention of tango with the group GOTAN PROJECT in the early 2000s, Eduardo Makaroff and Christoph H. Müller carefully select their guests before welcoming them on PLAZA FRANCIA. The two musicians continue their exploration of Argentine tango: First guest, in 2014 on “A NEW TANGO SONGBOOK” (40,000 ALBUMS SOLD), Catherine Ringer is back for this Plaza Francia now “Orchestra.” Her voice features on two tracks, “Barbara Monica” and “Todo Estaba Planeado.” Lura, a singer representing the colors of Cape Verde, performs Un Lugar (or the search for an inner place), and then Arrebato with a slight Creole accent. Finally, Maria Muliterno, a young Argentine singer, forbids us to die on the track “Te Prohibo.” The album artwork is created by their friend Argentine painter Antonio Segui. The staging of the Plaza Francia Orchestra show will be created by Jeremie Lippmann, director, mastermind behind the NTM tour, and awarded two Molières for his play “La Venus à la Fourrure.”
