In recent years, a new generation of artists, raised on algorithms, has continuously reinvented the patterns of French pop and found new forms of expression. Pion immediately fits into this legacy with their debut album, 22:22. For about forty minutes, Louis Delorme, François Devulder, and Charles Templier aim to transpose their boldness into music and to convey, much like a certain French scene in the 1970s, that anything is now possible. Like the soundtrack of a time travel, detached from musical trends, everything about these former members of Blind Digital Citizen seems to be an attempt to break down barriers. "Today, everything is technically possible. So we decided not to choose between musical genres and composition methods. On the album, there are a number of ultra-modern technologies, but also older techniques, like sampling and working with tapes." The group, formed by former members of Blind Digital Citizen, is signed to the Entreprise label (Fishbach, Voyou, Grand Blanc...). A free-spirited proposition, Pion takes us into a unique world indifferent to trends and destined to transcend the ages. Their energetic and spontaneous concerts are a testament to this, and they are absolutely worth seeing live.
