Live - Brighton Dome 1972 (Broadcast Recording)

Description

The classic Dark Side Of The Moon broadcast from the Brighton Dome in June 1972! Pink Floyd made their debut with the suite The Dark Side Of The Moon live on January 20, 1972, at the Brighton Dome. Halfway through, during the performance of "Money," a power failure caused a slowdown and a mismatch with the backing track, leading to the band stopping. On June 29, the band interrupted the album recording sessions to make a return visit to Brighton for a pair of concerts at the Dome, to make up for the disappointment of the failure of the first public performance of the piece there. This 2 LP set is a document of the second concert that Pink Floyd gave at the Dome in June 1972, including a performance of the suite The Dark Side Of The Moon in its entirety and versions of the earlier psychedelic freakouts "Careful With That Axe Eugene" and "One of These Days."
