Pili Coït are recording their first album, "Pink Noise," evoking the sound of sand after orgasm. The band, a real-life couple, delved into the sounds of their intimacy to bring their auditory fantasies to life. Most of the tracks were written with friends and their personalities in mind, giving this tribute album a rainbow of sounds, filtered through the duo's minimalist formula. Wild and sexy, creative and intimate, fragile and intense... two is better than one. BIO Guilhem Meier and Jessica Martin Meresco began their new duo in 2014, naming it after a composition, "Billy Goat," but pronounced with an Alsatian accent, because it's much funnier, sharper, and more evocative. They already played together in the trio Icsis (Pop-punk-electro) and Le Grand Sbam (contemporary music ensemble). Guilhem plays worldwide (Europe, Ethiopia, USA, Japan…) with Ukandanz (ethio-crunch music) and Poil (Progressive Rock), while Jessica sings in Mercurial (Electro Pop), Saddam webcam (math-punk), Little Coquette (Old-Jazz), and was part of the last incarnation of Meï Teï Sho. They wanted to create the music of their intimacy, travel the roads together, and experience the stage as a duo, so they started by recording their repertoire themselves, at home. Their music centers on the blending of their voices, orchestrated by a minimalist yet essential instrumental setup: a percussion kit (floor tom, drum, synth-drum) and an electric guitar with pedals. "Pink Noise," their first album, was recorded in 2017 by Antoine Mermet (Chromb!, Saint Sadrill) and naturally released on the Dur et Doux collective's label.
