In terms of emotional impact, the peak of "Land Of Sleeper" is undoubtedly the track "The Weatherman". It emerges as a devotional force of radiant intensity, the band's aggression slowing down to become a mantric and mesmerizing ramp. The track features a collaboration with KateSmith, singer of Bonnacons Of Doom, and a choir comprising Richard Dawson and Sally Pilkington. The resulting tumult creates a sound not unlike The Stooges' "We Will Fall", reimagined and adrenalized of course. "This one gave me the opportunity to do something completely unbridled. I wanted to surrender to the weight of the track, so the lyrics came about in the same way I imagine an artist frantically throwing paint onto a canvas." In recent years, Pigs*7 has undoubtedly changed in stature, participating in top festivals and playing countless sold-out shows. The quintet, completed by bassist John-Michael Hedley and drummer Ewan Mackenzie, remains however as it was at its inception: unable to adapt its sound to an audience, preferring to remain impervious like a cathartic monument.
