Pierrick Pédron is one of the best alto saxophonists in French jazz and a talented composer always in search of musical singularities. In over 15 years of career, Pierrick Pédron has played in multiple formations, made increasingly bold artistic proposals sometimes flirting with rock, pop, funk but also psychedelia... and collaborated with a large number of musicians around the world. Today, this key figure of the French jazz scene returns with a powerful and synesthetic ninth album, presenting a particularly inspired musical landscape. To bring to life the eight original compositions and the cover of the band Depeche Mode included in this album, Pierrick Pedron initiated a new quartet including his longtime friend, bassist Thomas Bramerie, the talented and no less famous New York drummer Greg Hutchinson, and the brilliant young French pianist Carl-Henri Morisset. This album, nearly 50 minutes long, situated somewhere between post-bop and pre-free, was entirely produced by the meticulous pianist Laurent De Wilde.
