Description
Pierre Welsh is a French author, composer, and singer. Former member of the bands Chelsea and Melville, he created the group Oaks in 2014. Two albums were released in 2015 and 2018, A Modern Tale and Les Matins Mauves, as well as a live EP in 2020, L'Ombre du Zèbre. They return with a new electro-rock album, 'L'Insaisissable' which was recorded and mixed in Brussels at the legendary ICP studio.More ambitious and accomplished than the previous ones, it nonetheless maintains the essence of what makes Pierre Welsh & the Oaks unique: the text as the keystone, and a sovereign music that does not impose any restrictions. The group is in a style reminiscent of Feu! Chatterton, Bashung, Bertrand Burgalat, or Hubert-Félix Thiéfaine.
