Pour déjouer l'ennui

Description

Pierre Lapointe presents "Pour déjouer l'ennui," a new album of original songs produced by Albin De La Simone. In August 2017, Pierre Lapointe, Albin de La Simone, and their musician friends gathered in a studio in Montreal to create this new record. Pierre's request was clear: to create an album of songs inspired by the great classics, in order to produce a bouquet of lullabies for "little children who have grown up." This album is enchanting in its softness and melancholy, telling stories of love and its twists, as well as joy and sadness. With this new offering, Pierre Lapointe once again expresses his love for French song. In addition to a few tracks co-written with Albin de La Simone, there are several collaborations with some of his friends: Clara Luciani, Hubert Lenoir, Daniel Bélanger, Philippe B, Amélie Mandeville, Julien Chiasson, and Félix Dyotte. Each of these co-creations shines and resonates within us, like small, precious, and delicate jewels. With the undeniable quality of this eighth album of original songs in his career, Pierre Lapointe once again justifies the praise of those who place him among the great names of his generation.
