An artist's image always refines with time: 20 years after his death, Pierre Bachelet's has gained in authenticity. It commands respect.
Even today, his songs are everywhere in cinema, with a recently incredibly powerful sequence in "The Animal Kingdom" featuring "Elle est d’ailleurs"! They're also in hit series like "Cœur Noir" with that same song, and in the football stadiums where RC Lens's "Sang et Or" play: even Arsenal's English fans haven't gotten over it since their Champions League match in 2022.
In addition to his immortal songs that have become "classics," this best-of unveils an unreleased track: "Frérot" had been recorded by Pierre Bachelet, who told his sound engineer that he was saving it for a future project. It's a complete melodic re-writing (only the lyrics are the same) of the 1995 song "Retrouvailles." It therefore took a little over 20 years for this song, which Pierre wanted to revisit, finally finalized, to reach his fans.
Furthermore, for the first time, 14 official music videos, 12 of which have been fully restored in HD thanks to the latest technologies, will be gathered on a bonus DVD in a limited edition.
