PRESQUE POP

Description

If PICOT's pop music was born in his childhood bedroom in Saint-Étienne, where he cradled his guitar, and evolved through the vibrant indie scene of Paris, it now fully blossoms with his luminous and nuanced debut solo album, *Presque Pop*. His refined arrangements and flowing melodies draw the listener into an intimate and vibrant journey, somewhere between Sébastien Tellier and Connan Mockasin. Across all his projects, one constant remains: the desire to constantly explore the shifting landscape of pop, without a compass. Juggling dedicated involvement in the indie scene with a career as an artistic director, PICOT enthusiastically and methodically embarks on creative adventures. He also loses himself a little along the way. In 2020, during the global hibernation, PICOT composed alone what would become his *Alimentation Générale* EP, four lo-fi tracks that served as a unique first attempt and a sketch of his future ambitions. This debut album now allows him to delve into stories that didn't fit into collaborative projects.
