"2024" was recorded in an old Berlin cinema, the Zentrifuge. In search of "their own rhythmic mantras," as Philipp Gropper explains, strange and complex grooves and unusual sounds emerge. Catapulted into strange worlds by Gropper's compositions, PHILM is interested in the emotional content of these grooves and how to explore them together. The adventurous atmosphere in the room and the interactions between the musicians leave their mark on the sound. Because this is exactly what characterizes PHILM: a band that does not seek to outdo itself with solos, but to find a common musical language, to create together, like a well-oiled sound machine.
