Phil Collins’ ‘Take A Look At Me Now’ reissue campaign is entering its fourth and final phase with the release of augmented and remastered versions of ‘...But Seriously’ and ‘The Essential Going Back’. Released in December 1989, ‘...But Seriously’ features some of Phil Collins' greatest hits and was one of the best-selling albums of its time. In the UK, it was number one in the charts for 15 weeks and remained in the Top 10 for almost a year before becoming the best-selling album of 1990 and receiving BRIT Awards for Best Single (‘Another Day in Paradise’) and Best British Male Artist. The album was also number one worldwide. Phil Collins returned to the top of the charts in 2010 with ‘Going Back’, his first studio album since ‘Testify’ in 2002. ‘Going Back’ is a personal work in which Phil Collins pays tribute to the soul classics that greatly influenced his musical career. "I decided to rename this version of Going Back 'The Essential Going Back'," he explains. In retrospect, I suggested too many tracks in the original version and I think abundance is not always a good thing, hence this smaller selection of my favorite Motown songs. As is the case for the other albums in this collection, ‘...But Seriously’ and ‘The Essential Going Back’ will be available in several formats: The 2CD Digipack versions feature the remastered album and rare or unreleased live versions, demos and B-sides on CD. The 180g audiophile vinyl, including the remastered album, will be available separately.
