Morning Sun

Description

Gondwana Records is proud to announce Morning Sun / Arrival, a limited release of two 12" tracks from the sublime and immersive masters of deep jazz from Los Angeles, Phi-Psonics
Phi-Psonics is a meditative and deeply soulful jazz group from Los Angeles, led by bassist Seth Ford-Young and featuring Sylvain Carton on woodwinds, Mitchell Yoshida on electric piano, and Josh Collazo on drums. Their beautiful music draws inspiration from jazz and classical influences as well as Ford-Young's own musical experiences, his relationships, and his introduction to spirituality, yoga, and philosophy at a young age. Along the way, they create something unique that is their own, sharing beautiful landscapes in which your mind can wander freely. Morning Sun / Arrival was recorded from the same sessions that formed Phi-Psonic's second album, Octava - it is an emotional, introspective, and unusual approach to meditative jazz that offers us a beautiful space for uplifting contemplation and exerts a quiet power to create a spiritually inspiring world of timeless and warm melodies and instrumental exploration for the deep listener and thoughtful traveler.
