PHEW, the prolific Japanese experimental avant-garde artist (also known as Hiromi Moritani), is finally back with her new album New Decade (her first on Mute since Our Likeness in 1992) to be released via Mute/[PIAS] on October 22, 2021! Described by Pitchfork as "a legend of the Japanese underground", she was one of the founding members of the Osaka punk band Aunt Sally, which disbanded in 1980. Blending vocals and electronics, the six new tracks on New Decade make her a master of her art.
