Rated PG is a collection of tracks from film soundtracks, composed by Peter Gabriel. Having always loved the combination of film and music (he dropped out of film school at 17 to pursue a music career), Peter Gabriel first had the opportunity to combine these two interests when he was asked to compose the music for Alan Parker's film Birdy in 1985. Subsequently, several other soundtrack compositions for films such as Martin Scorsese's The Last Temptation of Christ or The Long Walk Home nourished his love for cinema, and Peter Gabriel continued to collaborate on multiple films. Rated PG is an opportunity to gather on one disc a selection of Peter Gabriel's songs, written for or used in film productions. Released in ultra-limited edition for Record Store Day 2019, the album will be available on June 12th on CD and vinyl.
