This is a complete reinterpretation of "Tower of Meaning," the epic minimalist orchestral album by Arthur Russell originally released in 1983. "Give It to the Sky" also includes previously unreleased tracks by Russell that have been restored and re-recorded, resulting in an 80-minute reanimation that brings together several lost songs in a meticulous and beautiful rendering. The album was recorded live by the artists in a small theater in the southwest of France.
