"A Man from the Future" is a musical and sound biography dedicated to Alan Turing, a pioneer of computing and codebreaker, written by the legendary English duo Pet Shop Boys in collaboration with Professor Andrew Hodges, Turing's biographer. The work, created as part of the BBC Proms in July 2014 at the Royal Albert Hall, has been revised and rearranged in this new production by Pet Shop Boys and Sven Helbig and recorded over the past year in the UK and Germany. The album features the octet of the Manchester Camerata, the choir of the Manchester Grammar School, and narration by Juliet Stevenson with arrangements for strings and voices by Sven Helbig.
