Debut Solo Album "Perrie" Available September 26
Pop superstar Perrie makes her grand return today with her new single "If He Wanted To He Would" and the announcement of her debut solo album "Perrie," set for release on September 26.
"Perrie" is an eclectic album, rich in influences, drawing from the rock 'n' roll of her childhood as well as Motown, disco, country, and 80s sounds, not to mention bright and bold pop. The common thread running through this record is Perrie's powerful vocal performances, as she masters every melody.
"If He Wanted To He Would" is an euphoric and powerful pop track characterized by ironic lyrics, carried by live arrangements that highlight Perrie's remarkable voice. The song evokes a toxic relationship, told through the clear-sighted perspective of a best friend. It was written by Perrie alongside Nina Nesbitt, who also appears in the music video, and the production duo The Nocturns, with whom she is collaborating closely this year.
In 2024, Perrie launched her career with "Forget About Us," which climbed into the UK Top 10 and has already accumulated over 51M streams. Other tracks followed the same year, bringing her total to 98M streams to date.
