Pearl Jam's "rearviewmirror" album is being reissued on vinyl, in the form of two separate LPs. The album was originally released as a 4-LP vinyl (and 2-CD) set in 2004, and the vinyl has long been out of print. At the time of its release, the CD was the dominant format, and on the 2-CD version, each disc was dedicated to a different aspect of the band's catalog: the first disc, or "Up Side," features heavier rock songs, while the second disc, or "Down Side," consists of slower songs and ballads. This upcoming vinyl reissue reflects the original CD distribution, so Volume 1 is the "Up Side" and Volume 2 is the "Down Side."
