After two EPs (Jeunes Instants and Jettatura) and an album (À jamais privé de réponses) released under the label Lisbon Lux Records, Paupière returns with a second album Sade Sati. Paupière is known for its fiery and explosive performances. Now led by Julia Daigle (from the visual arts) and Pierre-Luc Bégin (Polipe, WeAreWolves), the duo exudes a magnetic sensuality with a sound evolving between the structures of pop and electronic pulses, producing languid, even sultry rhythms.
It invites us here with Sade Sati on an astral journey to visit dark places pierced with light, like luminous cracks, adventures populated by inner ghosts and those from afar. The fictional characters, here represented by Pierre-Luc and Julia, are twins lost in a futuristic world, the survivors of a planet after the chaos.
