Deluxe Edition + 5 bonus tracks: The great return of Paul Simon with a new album (his 13th solo album): He had not released an album since So Beautiful or So What in 2011. Some 46 years after the end of the legendary duo Simon & Garfunkel, and thirty years after the memorable Graceland, Paul Simon continues a career that has evolved from folk music toward more experimental adventures. This new creation, strongly inspired by an anonymous flamenco group with which he recorded four tracks, is influenced by Andalusian folklore. Paul Simon also worked on this record with Italian DJ Clap! Clap!, also known as Digi G'alessio. He is renowned for his ability to brilliantly mix traditional African music. In a statement, the musician described the spirit behind Stranger to Stranger: “The idea is actually to make you hear something in a new way, to make music that sounds old and new at the same time, music with a touch of mystery.” For his new record, he was also inspired by the work of avant-garde American composer and instrument inventor Harry Partch (1901-1974). The album Stranger to Stranger was produced with his producer and friend Roy Halee.
