After Wings At The Speed Of Sound, Venus and Mars, Wings Over America, RAM, McCartney, McCartney II, and Band on the Run, Pipes of Peace is the next album in Paul McCartney's catalog to receive the deluxe treatment from the Paul McCartney Archive Collection. Pipes of Peace, released in 1983, just a year after Tug of War, is his fifth solo album. It partly reprises what made his predecessor successful: the production of George Martin, and remarkable duets, here with a certain Michael Jackson, who was then on the rise. - In addition to the remastered original album, the second CD offers 9 bonus tracks including 7 unreleased, particularly featuring a remix by Paul of his hit Say Say Say in duet with Michael Jackson. - The deluxe version also includes a DVD with previously unseen footage in the studio, or in the intimacy of Paul, the music videos for "Pipes of Peace" and "So Bad" as well as a new video for "Say Say Say." It will be presented in a beautiful packaging accompanied by a hardcover book with 112 pages of essays and 64 pages of photos. - The vinyl version offers a double 180g LP remastered at Abbey Road Studio, containing rare and unreleased recordings and a custom engraving.
