With Mansun Retold, Paul Draper reopens the pages of his history and profoundly reinvents the most significant tracks from Mansun's repertoire. Recorded at Loft Studios and co-produced with Paul "PDub" Walton, the album blends arrangements for string quartet, acoustic instrumentation, and new textures, offering an ambitious and contemporary reinterpretation of his writing. Designed as a dialogue between past and present, Draper approaches these tracks as works in transformation, revealing new emotions and perspectives. From Dark Mavis to I Can Only Disappoint U, each track gains an unprecedented dimension in this project that is both intimate and bold. A key figure of the British scene in the 90s with Mansun, Draper revisits a cult legacy here with a renewed vision. Mansun Retold thus stands out as his most ambitious solo project to date, on the eve of a British tour scheduled for spring 2026.
