That's it, we may have found the perfect soundtrack for TGV journeys (window seat, of course) and evenings longing for warmth. After a first EP, Homecoming, noticed by the public and media, Paper Tapes is finally preparing to deliver its very first full-length album, Child. Beyond its references (Stereolab, French Touch, 70s film music...), the musician primarily delivers in this album a condensed collection of touching pop melodies and intricate instrumentals, both dreamy and always focused on escape. Originally from Lyon, Cyril Angleys began his Parisian exploits with Brace! Brace!, one of the spearheads of the new independent rock scene. Without abandoning this collective effort, Cyril decided one day to set up a solo project, Paper Tapes. Over 10 tracks, the album unfolds sunny atmospheres permeated by crystalline guitars, plump basslines, and ethereal synthesizers. Both highly cohesive and capable of exploring several themes within a single song, the album reveals a very pop universe with subtly psychedelic edges. For fans of Homeshake, Mild High Club.
