Les Furtifs émeute musicale [remixes]

Description

In 2019, La Volte published « Les Furtifs », the latest novel by Alain Damasio, a science-fiction author. To celebrate this release, Damasio invited the band Palo Alto to join him on stage, following an invitation from the literary festival « Oh les beaux jours ! », held at La Criée - Théâtre national de Marseille. Initially planned as a single concert, the event turned into a tour spanning several dates across France. The show given at La Maroquinerie was filmed and recorded on multitrack and will be released on June 5, 2026, on Hublotone. At the same time, to accompany this release, Palo Alto invited eight artists to remix the pieces composed for the concert: Ptôse, Pacific 231, Judith Juillerat, Herb Duncan, Norscq, Thierry Zaboitzeff, Lefdup & Lefdup and Electronicat. Bringing together the best of the French underground scene, these pieces echo avant-garde artists such as Coil and Tuxedomoon, blending electronic music with string instruments, instrumental compositions and acid club influences. They will be available on vinyl in a gatefold sleeve illustrated by Kiki Picasso (ex-Bazooka). Inside, an exclusive text by Alain Damasio introduces the project.
