A year after the success of their first album, Pale Blue Eyes is back, as a logical next step!
Crazy chatter, clinking of warm beer cans, Cocteau Twins played at full blast. These memories of parties and people live through "This House," the new album from Pale Blue Eyes. Beyond catchy melodies that dance like no one is watching, the album is rich in life-affirming human connections, where musical creation becomes a means of healing. While the band's first album, "Souvenirs," captured memories and melancholy related to the death of Matt's father, "This House" is its immediate neighbor. The new album was completed immediately after the death of Matt's mother. "It's a darker, more ecstatic album, with an urgent desire to remember and enjoy every moment," Matt says about life moments that define "the end of an era." "We dealt with loss on both albums," Matt says, "but this time we rebuilt – appreciating and savoring the things and people who are still here." Mixed and mastered by Dean Honer of Moonlandingz (Róisín Murphy, The Human League, I Monster), with jam sessions as the driving force, "This House" bounces through analog tape delays and effect pedals to capture life's oscillating journey.
