With the pen, drummer Stéphane Scharlé and bassist Edouard Séro-Guillaume deliver tight and nervous melodies that echo pop anthems and formidable grooves. From their scores with rich forms escape improvisations in duo, trio, or tutti, inhabited by the wild growls of Guillaume Nuss's trombone and Julien Soro's saxophone, whispered confidences from Tam de Villiers's guitar, all pulsed by a groove reactor, this bass - drums partnership of ten years of touring around the world. At times soothing, at times powerful, these five seasoned jazzmen put their sense of drama and timing at the service of a new and narrative music.
