Description

After a year of creativity and musical exploration, the newly formed group Östersjöar is set to release its first vinyl, simply titled Östersjöar. The album is coming out on Coop Records Gotland and captures the unique sound of the band, which is described as a moving train, with bold influences and an infectious rhythm. Musically, Baltic Seas evokes a fusion of the cold, pulsing rhythms of Joy Division and the vast soundscape of Hawkwind, where each track is an atmospheric and hypnotic journey. The album was recorded live during a December evening at the legendary Sandkvie Studion, where the band, along with producer Mattias Bärjed (guitarist of Soundtrack of Our Lives and Refused), Mikael Lyander, and Samuel Wizèn at the mixing desk, captured the authentic DNA of the band in the moment.
