PLAYS COLE PORTER

Description

The second album by Oscar Peterson entirely dedicated to the compositions of Cole Porter, this record is considered one of the best by the Canadian pianist. Released in 1959 with the help of his loyal collaborators Ray Brown on double bass and Ed Thigpen on drums, the recording includes great classics such as Love for Sale, Night and Day, and I Love Paris. In tribute to Frank Sinatra's repertoire, Oscar Peterson added a bonus track featuring I Get a Kick out of You, one of the crooner's iconic songs, composed by Cole Porter. Extract from the ideal Fnac discography 2017.
