The survivors of 80s glamfolkrock, One the Juggler, are delighted to announce the release of their new album, Imperial Way, in limited edition purple vinyl for Record Store Day. During their first appearance in London in 1982, One the Juggler was a standout band. Their authentic rock'n'roll had nothing to do with synthpop, the New Romantic movement, angular post-funk, or any other trendy musical genre. These music troublemakers drew inspiration from punk attitude, but their unique sound was infused with the rock and glam influences that had rocked them during their youth. The band quickly made a splash with their unique style and electrifying concerts, opening for artists such as Elvis Costello, Eurythmics, and Big Country, and also performing at the Reading festival and numerous sold-out shows at the legendary Marquee Club on Wardour Street in Soho. Their first album, Nearly a Sin (Regard Records), was critically acclaimed, quickly followed by Some Strange Fashion (produced by Mick Ronson). After a "short" break (of 25 years!), the band reformed in 2009 and, feeling that their creativity was still present, recorded and released the albums Ocean Man and Memoir Days, both on Real Vision Records.
