Some kind of peace

Description

The new album by Icelandic composer/producer Olafur Arnalds, "some kind of peace," is undoubtedly the most personal of his discography. It is revealed through the emotions of each track but also through real recordings of important moments in his life. Musically, Olafur once again demonstrates his ability to master both electronic and modern classical spheres. Female vocals are almost omnipresent on the album, whether through singing or samples. He also collaborates with Bonobo, JFDR, and Josin on certain tracks. Olafur Arnalds enjoys a reputation equal to that of Bjork or Sigur Ros in his country. Outside its borders, it is with the soundtrack of the series Broadchurch, ambitious albums including the latest "re:member," and his electro side project, KIASMOS, that the artist becomes known and becomes one of the most recognized representatives of this new wave of composers/producers.
