After nearly two years, Steve Okonski returns with *Entrance Music*, an album where the trio is at the peak of its improvisational prowess, celebrating spontaneity and meditation. Following *Magnolia*, their 2023 debut, pianist and leader Steve Okonski reassembled his long-time collaborators (Aaron Frazer on drums and Michael Isvara 'Ish' Montgomery on double bass) for a new session in the spirit of artists such as Bad Plus, Gerald Clayton, and The Breathing Effect. Recorded over five days, *Entrance Music* was one of the first albums produced at Terry Cole’s studio in Loveland, Ohio. The energy and sound created with Colemine label boss at the helm make this album a listening experience that fits as well within the ECM catalogue as it does Stones Throw. *Entrance Music* is a little less about New York City streets at 2 AM and a bit more nature-focused, a little more ethereal.
