Lazybones

Description

Here is the first album, as a manifesto by the multi-instrumentalist artist devoted to experimentation: Alban Mercier. After a few years spent traveling, digging into and exploring materials and influences, Alban is a perpetual motion, an endless quest far from all borders, devoted to breaking down genre barriers. This multifaceted artist blends on this full-length several of his influences, ranging from ritual music and the myths of indigenous communities of the Far East to the sounds and early Dub rhythms of Industrial pioneers such as Scorn might produce... if he were still producing. He drew and etched the lines of this 8-track album, and recorded them with the help of our beloved Paulie Jan at Agit Prop Studio at the end of summer 2022. As a total artist, he offers a personal artwork, rough-edged throughout, in order to create an object that is uniquely his. Very personal and devoted to his art.
