Odonis Odonis, the Toronto-based band led by the duo Constantin Tzenos and Denholm Whale, has released five albums. Over the past eleven years, they have enthusiastically explored genres such as post-punk, EBM, industrial, shoegaze, pop, and surf rock. For their next step, Odonis Odonis is moving away from the traditional music industry and its unsustainable physical and psychological demands, focusing solely on meaningful creative projects. Released on Felte, the duo describes their upcoming collaborative EP ICON as a business card that perfectly summarizes the new iteration of Odonis Odonis. After their album Spectrums released in 2021, they began working on this collection of five songs, writing them based on some of their favorite established and emerging artists. Some, like the New York noise rock stalwarts A Place to Bury Strangers, Pittsburgh artist TOBACCO, and Vancouver post-punks ACTORS, have already shared stages and tour vans with them, while others, like Vancouver darkwave singer and pianist Terror Bird and Los Angeles industrial pop project Patriarchy, are more recent discoveries. The duo has further embraced individual light, and ICON marks the first chapter (with more collaborations to come) of this new era of Odonis Odonis.
