Alex Wallwork, DJ on Soho Radio, inaugurates his alias "Odd Lust" with an explosive maxi of three tracks on Trilogy Tapes - a label that has made a specialty this year of releasing essential 12-inch maxis of this format. *Wild Qualia* easily ranks among the highlights of 2020 signed by Florist, Parris, Waon-P, and others. It features the classic codes of the "Motor City"; the title track and the electro burner *Vocation*, in particular, are imbued with that "deep" aesthetic characteristic of Drexciya. Normally, this record would have undoubtedly set the Unsound festival ablaze this year, but for now, we will have to settle for transforming our living room into a dancefloor. One must adapt to the circumstances, and these three tracks hit hard.
