Since the late 1970s, Steven Stapleton has made Nurse With Wound one of the most elusive projects in British experimental music, navigating between industrial music, sound collages, improvisation, and electronics. With Soliloquy For Lilith, released in 1988, he delivers a radical work that breaks away from the noise constructions of his previous albums. The six long pieces on the album were created without traditional instruments, solely from feedback loops generated by a network of interconnected effect pedals, which Stapleton modified the resonances of with simple hand movements.
