Released in 2007, The Blue is one of Novembre's major albums, the Italian pioneers of atmospheric death/doom, now available for the very first time on vinyl. Founded in Rome by brothers Carmelo and Giuseppe Orlando, Novembre made a name for themselves in the 90s with a unique approach blending doom, gothic, and progressive rock. The direct successor to the critically acclaimed Materia, The Blue perfectly illustrates the band's artistic maturity. Driven by some of their strongest compositions, the album unfolds emotional and majestic music, occasionally evoking Opeth, while asserting a deeply personal identity. Recorded at Outersound Studios and mixed at the legendary Finnvox Studios, the album features artwork by Travis Smith. This black vinyl edition includes a printed inner sleeve with the lyrics and marks a highly anticipated first for collectors and fans of atmospheric metal.
