THE BAND WAS BORN FROM THE ASHES OF PANICO, A CHILEAN POST-PUNK BAND Powerful, hypnotic and original, Nova Materia’s music incorporates unheard sounds generated by raw, mineral materials (metal, stones) to create a universe that is both hyper-rhythmic and dreamlike, at the crossroads of post-punk rock and electronic music, already captivating festivals and clubs as well as the world of visual arts and performance. Nova Materia is the duo formed by Frenchwoman Caroline Chaspoul and Chilean Eduardo Henriquez. The band was born three years ago from the ashes of Panico, a Chilean post-punk band with which Caroline and Eduardo toured the world and released several albums. After two EPs produced notably in collaboration with Chloé, Nova Materia joins artists such as Acid Arab, Konono N°1, Aquaserge, Juana Molina, Yasmine Hamdan and Matias Aguayo on the Crammed Discs roster. “It’s one of the most destroy duos on the circuit...
