After his debut last year with "The Acid Documents", Jamal Moss, aka Hieroglyphic Being, returns for a second album on Soul Jazz Records, this time under the name of Africans With Mainframes. Hieroglyphic Being and fellow Chicago producer Noleian Reusse have been recording music as Africans With Mainframes for over 15 years, since their debut on their own Mathematics Recordings label in 2005. K.M.T. is the group's debut album, a blend of apocalyptic Chicago acid mixing with industrial and transcendental post-house funk. Both intense and unique, this album with its avant-garde, experimental, and boundary-pushing Afro-futurist electro sounds shows us once again why Hieroglyphic Being is considered one of the most respectable experimental black music composers today.
