Paris, the capital of solitude is the diary of my years from 17 to 22. I've had the title since I was 14. It was my cousin who scribbled it on his coffee table while he lived in Paris. It reflects my admiration for Baudelaire and Parisian melancholy. Upon my arrival in Paris, I felt a deep solitude and a detachment from others, heightened by departures, returns, and the pain of love. I faced archaic fears, encountered the noise of the hospital, losing my appetite and the desire to live. The descent into hell. Is this Paris? Is this my life? Some see it as the capital of love, and I see it as the capital of solitude. Impossible to write. I feel like I'm imploding. And I don't want to explode, because I know that when I explode, I destroy everything. I immerse myself in films, and it is in the worlds of others that I find comfort. I dream again of cinema, and little by little, The poetry of ghosts and fictional cities allows me to find my bearings. Paris becomes Gotham City, and I find myself in the characters of comics. Those who suffer so much that they take it out on the whole world, and those who suffer so much that they save the whole world to save themselves.
