The Nits is a Dutch art-pop-rock band, founded in 1974 in Amsterdam. Their musical style has varied over the years, as has their lineup, but the main members are singer and songwriter Henk Hofstede, Robert-Jan Stips on keyboards (who has worked with Supersister, Gruppo Sportivo, The Golden Earring), and Rob Kloet on drums. In 2024, the band celebrates its 50th anniversary with a European tour and brand new music.
