Nino Vella, the late producer from the French pop and rap scene: a posthumous, intimate and vibrant record “Plage des bigorneaux” is the posthumous solo album by musician Nino Vella, a discreet but essential figure on the French music scene (co-founder of Rouquine, composer and artistic director for many artists such as Yseult, Eddy de Pretto, Lord Esperanza...). Before his sudden death in July 2024, Nino had devoted several months to this very personal, introspective and melancholic project, which is at times chilling in its prescience. He composed and produced almost all of it, with the same exacting standards and finesse that were his trademark. Eleven tracks were selected: nine songs sung by Nino, two in guide vocal. The album was carefully completed by his loved ones and artistic collaborators, in keeping with his world and his intentions. Through this deeply human work, Nino explores the fragility of existence and the intensity of emotions, with sensitivity and restraint. This record is a tribute to a rare artist, and to the suspended beauty of a project left unfinished, but essential.
